What I Do:

Are you a talented Introvert who has become stuck in a career you've outgrown? Do you find yourself feeling isolated, distracting yourself, perhaps even hiding from the power of your greatest gifts?
I would love to help you recognize and focus your unique talents in a rewarding career that feels like play and makes a huge difference in the world. I have helped hundreds of clients do just that, breaking through blocks and behavior patterns that no longer serve them.
I bring a Masters in Psychology focused on career development and use a variety of assessments like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, True Colors, and O*NET Interest Inventory to help you see and appreciate your strengths – which are then integrated into a dynamic counseling process connecting you, not just to your next job, but to your purpose and calling. I offer 12 years of experience as a Career Counselor to guide you in repackaging and adding to your work experience in order to launch you in a new, more inspiring direction. Job search tips and strategies to save time and increase employer responses. Our work may include resume review and editing, increasing your personal resiliency through building multiple income streams and a broad awareness of diverse skills and talents, as well as how these skills and talents can be combined to meet market/community needs. I also have experience with Green Career Counseling: Providing information and guidance on careers that help people and our planet thrive.

In addition to career counseling and assessment tools, I utilize a variety of dynamic individual and group processes to access guidance and inspiration, including:
Interviewing and Brainstorming: asking reflective questions to help you focus and generate ideas.  Brainstorming and planning together on possibilities and next steps.

Free Writing and Creativity: writing without editing yourself can help unlock fresh ideas, insight, and direction.  Tapping into your right brain through creativity may break you out of habitual thinking and deliver new inspiration.

Interactive Self/Career Development Workshops: optional workshops provide opportunities for self exploration and expression, as well as to receive support and feedback from others.

Identity Exploration: as you transition into a new career path, you may investigate new possibilities and try on a variety identities along the way.  This may look like finding a mentor, taking classes/workshops or a retreat, conducting research and interviews, volunteering or taking a part-time job in one or more new fields of interest.

Depending on your needs, the exploration process is supplemented by career research, as well as resume and job search guidance.  Please visit the other pages of this website to hear about my services in more detail.  I am excited to support you in finding your purpose and passion so you can transition to a unique, meaningful career that you love.
