    Support for Inner Challenges

When your career has been a core part of who you are, stepping away – even from a role that’s drained you – can bring up unexpected grief, fear, or uncertainty. With my career counseling services in California, I offer a grounded, supportive space to process those emotions, release limiting beliefs, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and possibility.

    Career Exploration & Decision-Making

When you leave behind a familiar role, you’re left with big questions about what comes next, which can feel scary and overwhelming. I’ll guide your career exploration through reflective tools and assessments, helping you clarify your values, strengths, and priorities. Then, we’ll narrow the options and make a decision that aligns with who you are today and where you want to go.

Building a Bridge to Your New Career

Once you’ve found your “North Star,” we’ll identify what’s needed to reach it – whether that’s building new skills, gaining experience, or pursuing additional education. From internships to certificate programs, I’ll help you take practical steps toward a career that feels more fulfilling and sustainable.

Rubber Meets the Road: Strategic Job Search

I’ll coach you through every practical step – crafting a compelling résumé, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and elevator pitch – so your story resonates with hiring managers. Mock interviews sharpen your confidence and clarity before the real thing. This interview repetition is known as deliberate practice in psychology – a highly structured activity focused solely on improving specific aspects of performance.

  • About me

I have worked for 20 years as an Employment, Academic, and Career Counselor with a non-profit organization, community colleges, and my own business in Washington, Northern and Central California, and Oregon. I was excited to open my own business over 10 years ago and see clients individually on Zoom or in-person at my office in Eugene at 16th and Oak and also facilitate Career Development Workshops.

    Qualifications

I am a Certified Career Counselor through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and have an MA in psychology, focused on career development. I can offer more benefits than a typical coach because in addition to career coaching, I provide some counseling-type support that helps clients understand and change limiting beliefs, and find clarity and momentum to move forward.

    My history with California

I lived for a significant period of time in both Central and Northern California, working for a Private Nonprofit and Community Colleges, as well as starting my career counseling business. I began at the Private Industry Council (PIC) in Paso Robles and met my future husband down the grade, dancing in San Luis Obispo. After the PIC lost funding and closed, I moved to the Bay Area and started focusing on my business while living in Martinez. I went on to enjoy living in Petaluma and working for Santa Rosa Junior College part-time while continuing to see clients, before reconnecting with my husband-to-be and moving back up to Oregon. I loved the beauty and year-round recreation, living in Los Osos near the ocean, and all the music and dance festivals and events.
