    Support for Inner Challenges

When your work has shaped your identity for years, stepping away – even when you’re worn out – can be surprisingly painful. Through my career counseling services in Washington, I offer a supportive space to work through those emotions, challenge limiting beliefs, and find a sense of direction that feels aligned and clear.

    Career Exploration & Decision-Making

Leaving your old career means you’ll have to face the unknown, which can feel scary and overwhelming. I’ll guide your exploration using reflective exercises and career assessments, helping you uncover options that align with your values and lifestyle. Then, we’ll make a grounded decision – one that fits who you are now and where you want to go.

Building a Bridge to Your New Career

Once your long-term direction becomes clear, I’ll support you in mapping the steps to get there. That might include a resume-building internship, additional training, or pursuing a certificate or degree to strengthen your skills and competitiveness. Together, we’ll build a bridge between where you’ve been and where you’re headed.

Rubber Meets the Road: Strategic Job Search

I’ll coach you through every practical step – crafting a compelling résumé, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and elevator pitch – so your story resonates with hiring managers. Mock interviews (a form of deliberate practice) sharpen your confidence and clarity before the real thing. This interview repetition is known as deliberate practice in psychology – a highly structured activity focused solely on improving specific aspects of performance.

As a holistic career counselor serving clients in Washington, my goal is to support deep personal shifts, such as working on shifting limiting beliefs, getting unstuck, stopping patterns of self-sabotage, and more.

  • About me

I have worked for 20 years as an Employment, Academic, and Career Counselor with a non-profit organization, community colleges, and my own business in Washington, Northern and Central California, and Oregon. I was excited to open my own business over 10 years ago and see clients individually on Zoom or in-person at my office in Eugene at 16th and Oak and also facilitate Career Development Workshops.

    Qualifications

I am a Certified Career Counselor through the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and have an MA in psychology, focused on career development. I can offer more benefits than a typical coach because in addition to career coaching, I provide some counseling-type support that helps clients understand and change limiting beliefs, and find clarity and momentum to move forward.

    My history with Washington

After graduating from college, I moved to the Seattle area and worked for a few years before burning out on corporate customer/program support roles. I then met with a Career Counselor and went back to school, earning a graduate degree (MA in Psychology, Integrative Studies-focused on career development) from Antioch University, Seattle. Post graduation, I worked as an Employment Counselor and Instructor at North Seattle Community College in a federally-funded Worksource program, before deciding to move down to Central California. I enjoyed living in the East Bay and Green Lake and hiking and exploring the islands of Puget Sound.
